Dr. Rachel Hall
Dr. Rachel E. Hall is a board-certified integrative and holistic medical doctor, specializing in bioidentical hormone replacement. In addition to hormone balancing, she offers her medical knowledge and expertise in natural and alternative therapies for a wide variety of symptoms and diagnoses. She only relies on pharmaceutical or surgical treatments when all other treatments don’t deliver the desired results, or when those methods are clearly indicated for a specific condition.
In 1999, Dr. Hall graduated from the University of South Carolina (USC) School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. She then completed her residency in family medicine at Palmetto Health Richland, also in Columbia. She was certified by the American Board of Family Medicine in 2002 and went on to complete a year of obstetrics training for the Family Physician in San Jose, California. With a passion for education, Dr. Hall taught family medicine at the USC-affiliated Family Medicine Residency at Palmetto Health Richland for almost ten years.
In 2011 she found her way to holistic medicine after attending the Scripps Center for Integrative and Holistic Medicine’s annual meeting. It was there she discovered an approach to medicine that truly fit her thought process, inspiring her to embark on a year of self-study. As a result, Dr. Hall passed the board exam for Integrative/Holistic Medicine in 2012.
As she began providing Integrative/Holistic medical services, Dr. Hall was beginning her own journey of peri-menopause. Learning through her own hormone imbalances, Dr. Hall found her niche in bioidentical hormone replacement. She loves helping women feel like themselves again, not to mention helping them slow down the aging process! And bioidentical hormones are not just for women, men with low testosterone (Low T) can benefit as well.
In addition to working with hormone imbalances, Dr. Hall also completed the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology’s course and provides expert second opinions for women with abnormal pap smears, helping them avoid unnecessary, sometimes invasive, procedures.
Dr. Hall’s medical philosophy centers on balance. Diseases are the result of imbalances in the body, and therefore the goal of health care is to help patients of all ages find their homeostasis — their desired balance — allowing the body to heal itself of illness. As an integrative/holistic medicine family physician, Dr. Hall looks forward to helping her clients live a healthier life, naturally.
